Welcome to Project Palooza. This is a project put together by a group of friends & family looking to put on a palooza, in this case, a Dennispalooza. This website exists to tell everyone what it is we’re aiming at. To illustrate our vision, outline our plan and garner support for the project. On this site you can find all of the information relevant to the project, how to support and get involved with it or simply following along.
In advance, we’d like to thank anyone who is for being here. This whole thing began as a dream of turning tragedy into triumph. When we lost Dennis, for a week straight we were among friends and family non-stop. As wrong as it feels to say, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much as I did that week. But under such circumstances…
People always say it takes a wedding or a funeral to bring everyone together. Dennispalooza is a third option. For us, this project gives a group of friends and an extended family a reason to be together and a mission to accomplish with one another. By doing so in Dennis’ honor he remains ever present in our lives.
By creating Dennispalooza we hope to share this sentiment, guaranteeing one night a year dedicated to being among friends and family celebrating life, love and friendship (we will also try to guarantee that Dennispalooza is more fun that most weddings and ALL funerals).
We hope you follow along, get involved and support the project. We’re grateful for the opportunity to honor a friend and to work on a project like this. We are eternally grateful to anyone who helps us along the way.

What is Dennispalooza?
Dennispalooza, in theory, will be, a tent pole event for The Dennis A. Vaccaro Foundation. The big shebang if you will.
It will be a one night event (hopefully annual) in the style of a festival or fair. All the usual suspects would be incorporated ... Carnival rides, games, food (chimichangas for sure) & drinks.
But this fiesta will be uniquely Dennis. Incorporating components such as a headline musical act (someone sick of course), quirky entertainment & contests. Think along the lines of midget wrestling or demolition derby. ()()() or a strongman contest. We’ve got more than a couple of ideas and tricks up our sleeves, but for now, we’ll keep a few to ourselves.
The mission of this event is not only to raise money in support of The Dennis A. Vaccaro Foundation and its initiatives, but to create an experience worthy of and inspired by our buddy Dennis. To provide at very least a single night for friends, family and community alike to gather in celebration of life and friendship.
THE PLAN
So thats the goal, but we’ve got a bit of a ways to go before were eating Chimichangas on the ferris wheel. Below is a ‘roadmap’ if you will. It outlines the game plan in four phases of how we plan to get there.
Phase 1:
Phase 1 is where it all begins. When we initially sat down to talk Dennispalooza we were forced to acknowledge that our plan was a bit ambitious. An idea can take you so far, but resources will get you there. We realized we had to walk it a step back and raise some money to make this thing happen. And so phase 1 is, as I’m sure you can guess, all about the benjamins. We put our heads together and came up with a few ways to raise some money. Once we fill the pot, we can move on to phase 2.

Once we raise some money, we can put it to work. We’ve got a vision in mind and a plan to make it a reality but here in phase 2 we’ll iron out all the finer details and put it into motion.
*At this point we will release a date for Dennispalooza. From this point moving forward we will begin to market Dennispalooza, eventually releasing tickets.
Phase 2:
If you build it, they will come. In phase 3, we build it.

Phase 4 is it, the big shebang. Dennispalooza.
Status report:
7/1/2025
Today we launched the site and with it announced some of the fundraisers and events we have going on this upcoming fall. It’s the real starting point of our project. From now on we will spend time promoting this project & trying to raise as much money as possible so we can make dennispalooza a night to remember. As things happen we’ll keep you updated.
